So, you’re a new mum — congrats! But just because you are caring for an infant 24/7 does not mean skincare should fall to the wayside. As we kick-start a month-long celebration of mums, Tuesday Style Dryer (TSD) has snagged a few to share what their beauty regimen looks like after welcoming their little ones.

First up is Victoria Colahar, who welcomed baby Carter last October.

“As a new mum, I just don’t have the time for a 10-step skincare routine,” explained Colahar. “Thankfully, post-partum has been nothing short of amazing! My skin is the best it’s ever been. It’s clear, glowing and supple. I feel renewed.”

With that being said, the new mum still has a few go-to products that aid in keeping her skin hydrated and healthy. Ahead, a list of her skincare essentials, plus a pretty easy regimen that works even if you only have a few minutes to spare.

My favourite cleanser is the Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser because it is so gentle and feels really good when applying. Who doesn’t love foam and bubbles on their face?

From time to time, I may have a little blemish on my face and I find that the Urban Skin Rx BrighterDays Dark Spot 8% AHA Polish works wonders. This is actually one of my favourite products. This brand focuses on melanin-rich women. Their products work so well for our skin. I recommend checking out their skincare line. I have almost everything from them and I’m so impressed and happy with my skin after using them.

I Love my Pond’s Crema S moisturiser. I’ve been using it for as long as I can remember. It seriously hydrates my skin and keeps it moisturised all day. A little also goes a long way and it spreads nicely. I use this day and night.

I’ve never been a big fan of SPF simply because it always burns my skin, but as I got older I learnt the importance of it. So, after going through countless trials and errors with different brands I finally found the Cetaphil SPF 30, which is gentle on my skin and doesn’t burn. I urge everyone to use sunblock every day. We have to protect our skin. My mum always told me when you have beautiful skin there’s no need for make-up and I strongly agree!

My chapstick is a must-have everywhere I go and I really just rely on this for moisturising my lips throughout the day. The blue chapstick is my favourite; it has a very subtle scent that I’m just in love with!

I just really love using a mist. It makes me feel good after my routine has come to an end. I’ve gone through a couple of brands until I found my favourite one is the Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist. The ultra-fine mist feels so good and refreshing to finish everything and it gives me such a nice glow. I’d highly recommend this product to everyone. I especially incorporate this when applying make-up. It gives you a beautiful glow. I also like to randomly spray this on my face during the day; it really just feels great.
